Dec 16 2009Dubai Grant Macdonald Showroom
Grant Macdonald, a brand synonymous with elegance and luxury has teamed up with SCI Luxury Trading to launch the first Middle Eastern Grant Macdonald Dubai showroom.
The opening celebrations embraced the signature Grant Macdonald style with an Oriental-Arabian themed party held at the renowned One and Only Royal Mirage. A sumptuous dinner, followed the reception and the evening was concluded with a dazzling performance by Hayakel Dance, flown in especially for the evening from Lebanon. This combination of the modern and the traditional provided the
perfect backdrop to showcase the Grant Macdonald collection which has been inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Arabia and the Gulf. Chady Jreige and Sabah Mousa, managing partners of SCI co-hosted the event alongside Grant Macdonald.
Gathered around a breathtaking display of gold and silver objets d'art and luxury gold and silver tableware, celebrities mixed with Sheikhs and fashion designers. The centrepiece of which, were two life-size models of Saker falcons, one in sterling silver, the other silver with 24 carat gold-plating resting on a gold plated Waker inset with precious stones.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the first Grant Macdonald tableware collection. This display included exquisite sterling silver and 24carat gold plated cutlery. Each piece had been expertly handcrafted by silversmiths in the London workshop to accompany unique in-house designed fine bone china with 24 carat gold decoration.
Grant Macdonald are now supplying bespoke luxury linen, bespoke leather desk sets and goatskin parchments, barware, matching crystal and tableware and luxury hampers.
