Founded primarily as a silversmith's workshop in 1969 to produce commission-only silver and gold objets d'art, Grant Macdonald have now developed into a multi-divisional luxury bespoke service with an international following. Grant Macdonald are renowned for offering clients a personal and unparalleled experience and have consequently have built up an internationally wide and diverse network, including serving the needs of many royal courts.

In 1979 Grant Macdonald's relationship with the Middle East in particular began to flourish. It was at this point that the first significant commission was received, to provide bespoke silver and gold

presentation gifts for a royal palace.

A combination of quality and design, innovation and tradition, all present in each Grant Macdonald piece has ensured that this first relationship stills holds strong today. Grant Macdonald's success in the Middle East has resulted in the recent opening in 2008 of our first showroom in Dubai.

The development into the luxury goods market grew out of a demand from long-term customers who wanted the Grant Macdonald assurance of quality incorporated into bespoke silver and gold dinner services to complement their yacht and plane interiors and to reflect their individual style and taste.

The success with which this luxury service was received has prompted the further expansion of Grant Macdonald to cover a broader range of services for luxury interiors, whilst still maintaining the bespoke commissions which are tailored to the needs and the lifestyles of our clients.

Grant Macdonald are also established as silversmiths and designers for the City of London Livery companies, creating unique badges or office, loving cups and heraldic pieces.

Grant Macdonald are based in London in one of the largest silversmith workshops in the country, and only employ the top silversmiths and craftsmen in the country. They are all dedicated to creating exquisite pieces of art and take pride in their skills and reputations as some of the most accomplished silversmiths in the country. The traditional techniques and skills associated with the silversmith trade are still employed, but they are now combined with the latest technology to ensure that every piece has been crafted with precision and elegance
